RESPONSIVE WEBSITE

Remote Work Specialists

UX Design & Research

I created a responsive one-page website for a remote consultancy firm to bring awareness to their services and to offer users a quick way to connect with a human consultant. As a new company built from experienced leaders in the field, they differentiate themselves with transparent values and easy pricing, and work towards becoming a trusted resource in an ever-changing remote landscape.

Focused on outlining value to users while leading them to a singular goal, the site is structured loosely around a traditional sales format and relies on clear imagery, concise language, and statistics to persuade users to book a call.

UNDERSTANDING THE USER

Research & Discovery

To understand the sales experience, I researched across each point of the process and sought out successful instances using similar methods and formats, as well as feedback from actual business owners. I wanted to understand what prevented them from joining the remote workforce and what would encourage them to take the leap?

I concluded that business owners are interested in remote work, but may be overwhelmed by changing options and may not have a realistic idea of what is involved, which creates a great value for consultancy, especially when personalized to unique business and personnel needs. All users perceived value in having an expert on hand even after a remote or hybrid migration.

Through research, I implemented product concepts to enable business owners to swiftly understand the value and offerings of remote work consultancy without feeling like they are being sold to.

VISUAL MOMENTUM

Design System

To propel users through the journey, I created a design system with bold colors and elements with energy and movement. Slanted lines and motion create a sense of speed, urging the user forward through the content. Simplified shapes and illustrations contrast with vibrant background imagery to command attention and invoke confidence.

USER RESEARCH

Usability Testing

The initial Hi-Fi prototype was tested in a moderated study, where users were asked to complete three tasks while narrating their thoughts and actions in a 15-minute timeframe, then asked to rate their overall experience.

I sought to understand how many users would complete the process to book a call, what information from the site impacts them, and how enthusiastic they are about booking.

Content cards

Touching upon enough information to urge users to action, main points were distilled and organized into easy-to-absorb content cards throughout the site, allowing users immediate access to top-level information.

Navigation elements

The site omits main navigation and instead utilizes anchors, buttons, and inline text links to guide users. With a secondary focus on outlining value, the site uses education as a means to persuade users to book a call.

Booking frame

All links lead to scheduling a call, and the Calendly widget makes the process seamless by allowing users to choose a time and date, enter their name and email, and receive a confirmation without leaving or reloading the page.
